KBC - MySep Partnership
KBC (A Yokogawa Company) and MySep, announce a partnership to deliver accurate and consistent results in separation of fluids into their oil, gas and water components for process design, operation, and performance modelling. Applications span Production, Refining and Midstream processing. The integration of MySep’s separation technology with KBC’s Petro-SIM simulation software, eliminates over-reliance on vendors for vessel sizing and/or vessel performance estimates. Petro-SIM users can now obtain MySep’s separation capabilities from the same source.
Russell Byfield
Poor separator design causes excessive carry-over of liquid from separation vessels resulting in rapid or progressive damage to downstream compressors, contactors, and other pre-treatment facilities. This leads to extended and/or unplanned shutdowns causing operational losses, which can be significantly reduced by using MySep products integrated with Petro-SIM.

Guy Hellinx
We greatly respect the capabilities of Petro-SIM in modelling upstream and downstream systems. We are delighted to be partnering KBC in this way, and look forward to demonstrating the growing number of applications where MySep and Petro-SIM can create significant value for asset owners and operators.

KBC's Petro-SIM
Petro-SIM is a leading system-wide process simulation and optimization technology for upstream and downstream oil and gas asset design, performance optimization, and digital twin creation. Through the bi-directional links between Petro-SIM and MySep Studio, process engineers will be able to avoid poor design practice and optimize existing facility operations faster and more accurately. By integrating MySep Engine with Petro-SIM models, the overall accuracy of the asset-wide simulation heat and material balance is enhanced.
Petro-SIM & MySep Studio
Links between MySep Studio and Petro-SIM provide bi-directional data exchange. This allows the user to import process information to model an existing separator’s performance in detail, to design a new separator or to explore retro-fit options on an existing vessel. MySep gas-liquid results can also be exported to the simulation.
MySep Engine in Petro-SIM
MySep Engine can provide rigorous gas-liquid separation modelling, directly embedded in Petro-SIM process simulations. This allows simulations to accurately reflect the impact of liquid carry over on heat and material balances providing a high-fidelity digital twin of a process. Integration of the MySep Engine module allows identification of operational risk in applications like gas compression and provides for better overall optimisation of process operations.
